Most people think of monogamy in the traditional sense, one love with one sexual partner. What happens when that monogamy becomes monotonous? You still have all the love for that one person, but the spark in the sexuality has been lost. Well some have found a new type of monogamy.
They still have the love for the one and only one in their life, their partner, but they have discovered the freedom of sexuality. In realizing that sex is a physical aspect that all people have, these people have opened monogamy to include sex with other persons. Now, this is all done to enhance their own sexual experience together. This new form of monogamy to many is known as swinging.
Swinging itself as a term has come under fire many times. Some say it is the breakdown of the modern age and the modern family. Yet those who are in this swinging lifestyle will disagree. They have found a way to enhance and reignite the fire in their own relationship. I am not afraid to say that my other half and I are part of this new form of monogamy. We are an example as to how redefining monogamy has enhanced our relationship together.
We both are very sexual people and for the past nearly 3 years we have kept a traditional monogamous relationship. This ended up having an unexpected turn to our relationship. Our love for each other had not been lost, but the sexuality was gone. We needed to find a way to reignite that spark. We decided to explore our own sexuality further.
There are many types of swinging out there, it is custom to every person and couple. So we decided to try something that worked for us. Since we started this our love for each other has increased, our passion for each other has been reignited, and our sexual life together has been phenomenal.
We, as many others, have found that monogamy does not necessarily have to mean one love with one sexual partner. We have redefined monogamy to mean one love with the one you want to share your life with. The sexuality has been moved to its own place, a section of carnal desire and fantasy. A place where you are free to explore the desires of the flesh and still return to the one you love and wish to share your life with without risk of losing them.
